Hazrat Ayesha Siddiqah (R.A) & her Religious & Educational Activities during Ramadanul Mubarik

Umm Al-Mu'mininHazrat Ayesha Siddiqah (R.A) was married to the Holy Prophet (PBUH) in 10^th Hijri. She benefited directly from the Prophet’s (PBUH) company. She was very intelligent,witty and generous. She had a profoundinsight and command of knowledge.  The great companionsof Prophet PBUHused to seekadvice from her ondifficult and complex issues. HazratUrwah bin Zubair R.A. says that I have not found anyone better than Hazrat Ayesha (R.A)on the subjects of jurisprudence, medicine, and poetry. Her position in literature and oratory was also very high.

She had very carefully narrated the routines and activities of the Prophet (PBUH) during the Holy month of Ramadan. It is narrated from Hazrat Ayesha (R.A), that the Holy Prophet (PBUH) said: "Whoever stays in Tarawih with the intention of faith, all of his previous sins will be forgiven" (Majma 'al-Zawaid). She says that the Holy Prophet (PBUH) prayed in the mosque one night. The people prayed with him. Then he prayed the next day, then followed the same routine till the fourth night, however, he did not comeout after that. When the people started to gather with concern and joined the congregation, He (PBUH) said: "Nothing prevented me from coming, except that I was afraid that it (Taravih) might become obligatory on you." This event happened in  Ramadan. " (Sahih Bukhari)

Hazrat Ayesha (R.A) says: "Whenever the month of Ramadan came, the color of the Holy Prophet changed, his prayers would increase, he would express extreme humility in his prayers and the fear of Allah Almighty prevailed over him."Hazrat Sufyan Sauri says: “Praying on Laylat al-Qadr is the best act of worship because that night Hazrat Ayesha (R.A) asked Prophet (PBUH) what should one pray if one found out about Laylatul-Qadr? The Prophet (PBUH) replied:

(O Allah! Surely You are the Forgiver, you love forgiveness, so forgive me)

The wives of the Prophet (PBUH) were also very fond of observing Ramadan. Once the Prophet (PBUH) ordered to set up a tent for I'tikaf in the mosque during Ramadan. When Hazrat Ayesha (R.A)found about this, she also placed her tent. Seeing this, the other wives of the Prophet (PBUH) also set up their tents, however, the Holy Prophet ordered the tents of all to be demolishedand ordered that women should observe I'tikaf in their homes. These incidents show how  keenlythe activities wereorganized at Prophet’s placeduring the days and nights of Ramadan. May Allah Almighty enable us to observe all these routines of Ramadan. Ameen!۔
