The soul of Hazrat e Aqdas Shah Saeed Ahmed departed on 8thZe-Qadh 1433 AH / 26 September 2012.Today, on September 26th, wemark the first anniversary of his sad demise.
In the preceding year, friends have been reading articles and lettersin the monthly editions of Rahmia Magazine in connection with Hazrat e Aqdas RAH.A special publication on biography, struggle and services of Hazrat RaiPuri is also under consideration by Monthly Rahimia for which we are looking forward towriters, scholars and studentslinked with Hazrat e Aqdas for their views and comments so that the publication of this special edition be made possible.
Hazrat e Aqdas Shah Saeed Ahmed Raipuri had gathered exalted thoughts, the fragrance of which is now spread in every nook and corner of this country. The enlightenment spread through these thoughts will never see darkness again. Every heart and mind litwith these thoughtscontinues to spread this luminosity. Hazrat e Aqdas remained busy every moment making practical plans for refinement of these thoughts, and remained busy disseminating this message. Today, the day of his demise, makes us sad.Imagining his departure leavesour senses injured. The grief of his separation will always remain in our heart. Millions of troubled hearts will keep moistening their eyes on the death anniversary every year. These sad moments of our memoryhave become an asset of our sadness.
This day of Hazrat’s demise is also our day of renewal to our commitment. This day awakens us from the sleep of complacency. It is inviting us to stand-up!It reminds us thus: It has been too late, your destination is far, the path is quite difficult, thorns of luxury must not entangle your attire and must not divide your attention!Thugs of capitalism must not steal the wealth of time from you, and your determinations and intentions mustnot get rusted.Yourintellect and minds must not be dazzled by the false glares of capitalism.Your goal is great. It demands everlasting sacrifices and great struggle from you.
Hazrat e Aqdas hadlove and affection for each individual of his team. This relationship was strongerthan family tiesand he fulfilled it throughout his life. Once in a gathering with youngsters, who came to condole the accidental death of his youngest son Mehboob Ahmad, he said: "Allah Almighty has taken one son.It is His pleasure. I have hundreds of sons behind, with me in my mission." Once Hazrat e Aqdas was present in a gathering of youngsters at 56-Meclod Road.It was some occasion of festivity and on being reminded of the invitation from his son’s house, he said: "An invitation to visit home is received from one son, but how can I visit him leaving so many sons here?". He was an embodiment of highest morals, had a transparent inner self and was truly a great example of his ancestors’ lifestyle.
Current scenarioof Pakistan is a proof that the existence of Hazrate Aqdas here in Pakistan had beena great gift of nature and the result of special focusof the elders of Khanqa e Raipur. Humanity is going through a trialhere; the spiritual and intellectual focus of Hazrat e Aqdas has made its solution possible. Thisfocus of Hazrat e Aqdasis an extension of the role which was first played by the founder and leader Hazrate Aali Shah Abdul Raheem Raipuri who sided with Hazrat Shaikhul Hind in freedom movement against British imperialists. Then his second successor Hazrat Shah Abdul Qadir Raipuri played his role with Hazrat Maulana Hussain Ahmad Madani and other leaders to manage ransacked humanity after separation of states. The third successor Hazrat Shah Abdul Aziz Raipuri played his role in Pakistan against Qadiyaniat, Maududiat, Pervaiziat and also against civil and military dictatorships. The burden of responsibility is on the shoulders of historians to bring under discussion topics related to Hazrat e Aqdas Shah Saeed Ahmed Raipuri’s sixty-year struggle and the nature of work. Objectives and confidential aspects of hismovement and challenges faced by the fourth successor of this lineage should also be studied. His strategy should also be contrasted with other contemporary religious and political movements.
One of the aspects of the strategies of Hazrat e Aqdas has been to prepare a conscious community to deal with the exploitative mindset, imperialistic system and distorted religiosity in Pakistan. The result of the workforce he prepared is now infront of us.Hisspiritual successor Hazrat Maulana Mufti Abdul Khaliq Azad Raipuri, Director Rahimia Institue; Dr. Maulana Mufti Saeed-ur-Rehman, President Rahimia Institute;Shaikh ul Tafseer Maulana Mufti Abdul Mateen Naumani and a list of other committed and visionary leaders continue to spread his vision. This is the result of sleep-less efforts made by Hazrat e Aqdas. Hazrat was quite hopeful of his efforts. Once in a program at Murree, he commented about Dr. Mufti Saeed-ur-Rahman: “He is Mufti Kifayat Ullah Dehlvi of our era.”(Hazrat Mufti Kifayat Ullah Dehlavi late was an exemplary personality with a clear opinion and deep religious and political insight.) He commented after a speech of Shaykh al-Hadith Hazrat Maulana Mufti Abdul Mateen Naumani: "If bold and fearless scholars like him keep joining our community, we will be successful in wrapping up thespread of capitalism in Pakistan."
The success of ateacher, leader, organization and a system depends upon its team of successors. Leaders of Raipurhave been following a strict standard for successor-ship rather than traditional ways of anointing successors. Individuals are first made worthy of responsibility by tacitly training them for years. Training of intellect, heart, soul, mind, knowledge and action in a special perspective helps them achieve required results. The current successor, Hazrat Shah Mufti Abdul Khaliq Azad Raipuri, is a great choice for the convoy, which is as per the intentions and desires of Hazrate Aqdas Shah Saeed Ahmed Raipuri. He is an authorityon Waliullahi philosophy and the guardian of the traditions of Khanqah e Raipur. A full glimpse of the temperament of all the four leaders of Khanqah e Raipur could be seen in his temperament.
