Rahimia Institute of Quranic Sciences is a unique institution that spearheads research that is geared towards spreading awareness regarding Islam, South Asia, its history and society. The hallmark of the research output of Rahimia has been its interpretations of the Holy Quran and the Seerat of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) to seek solutions to problems plaguing contemporary human societies.
Rahimia Research is also geared towards re-narrating South Asia’s history of resistance against colonial oppression by the rightly-guided Ulema of Waliullahi school. From Shah Abdul Aziz’s decree of 1804 against the British to Maulana Mahmood Hassan’s empire-shaking planning of early twentieth century, publications of Rahimia regularly feature articles presenting the brave struggle of the sons of the soil against exploitation and hegemony of colonial era.
At the moment Rahimia Institute publishes the quarterly Shaoor-o-Agahi along with regular book-length studies. A monthly magazine with interpretations of the Quran and Hadith for contemporary minds along with insightful critique of current affairs is also being published for over a couple of years.
